I met Ashley through my hair stylist, who was also one of my brides! Ashley called me to tell me she had seen her friend's album and absolutely loved it! The first time we met was at Ashley and Jon's engagement session in New Hope. Jon was a little quiet, come to find out that he hated pictures and really wanted to get a drink before starting, but they were running late and they didn't get the chance. So, of course, I said "Let's get a drink!" And we did! We headed over to the Logan Inn for some drinks at their outdoor bar. I sat opposite the two of them snapping some pictures in a sniper/paparazzi kind of way and once I saw Jon smile, I knew he was ready for his session! So, onto the wedding!
We had some showers in the morning, but the sky started to clear just in time for their 1st look and portraits out front! Once the drizzling started back up, we headed for the porte-cochere, which is beautiful at the Ryland Inn! The ceremony did take place outside, and the rain started a little more once again (notice the man with the one umbrella), but wasn't terrible and the bride and groom didn't even notice!
It was so much fun to photograph the reception at the Ashley and Jon's wedding, not only because the Ryland Inn's ballroom is gorgeous on it's own, but because of the decor as well! Ashley's super talented friend, Lauren (must be a name thing) from LoCreations and Inspirations, was in charge of designing and did a fabulous job!
